Introduction

The Manage Module in the PortX Integration Manager provides a centralized interface for managing your API secrets, application configurations, and vulnerabilities. This module is designed to streamline operational tasks for platform administrators and DevOps teams, making it easier to maintain, secure, and deploy your APIs and related resources.

What Can You Do in the Manage Module?​

  • Manage Repository Links: Configure and update links to your code repositories and related resources.
  • Secret Manager: Securely store, update, and manage environment variables and secrets for your APIs and applications.
  • Application Configuration: View and edit application-level configuration, manage deployment versions, and control auto-deploy settings for different environments (DEV, STG, PROD).
  • Vulnerabilities: Monitor and address vulnerabilities detected in your APIs and applications.
  • VPN Provisioning: Securely set up and manage VPN connections for your environments.

Typical Workflow​

  1. Navigate to the Manage Module from the Integration Manager sidebar.
  2. Select a sub-module (Links, Secret Manager, Application Configuration, Vulnerabilities, VPN Provisioning) based on your task.
  3. Perform actions such as updating secrets, deploying new versions, managing VPN connections, or reviewing vulnerabilities.
  4. Save and review changes—some actions may require approval or trigger automated workflows (e.g., GitOps PRs for deployments).

VPN Provisioning​

The Manage Module includes VPN Provisioning capabilities, allowing you to securely set up and manage VPN connections for your environments. This feature is essential for organizations that require secure, private connectivity between their PortX Platform cloud infrastructure and on-premises or partner networks.

Key Capabilities​

  • Provision New VPNs: Initiate the creation of new VPN connections for your environments.
  • Monitor VPN Status: View the current status of all provisioned VPNs, including active, pending, or failed connections.
  • Manage Disaster Recovery (DR) VPNs: Add or remove DR VPNs as needed to ensure high availability and business continuity.
  • Self-Service Operations: Authorized users can provision, update, or remove VPNs without manual intervention from support teams.

Typical Workflow​

  1. Open the VPN Provisioning section within the Manage Module.
  2. Select the environment (e.g., DEV, STG, PROD) for which you want to provision or manage a VPN.
  3. Follow the guided steps to create, update, or remove VPN connections.
  4. Monitor the provisioning status and receive notifications upon completion or if any action is required.

Note: VPN provisioning actions may be subject to access controls and audit logging for security and compliance.
